Upstate New York tribal casino reveals $50 million expansion featuring new slot machines and amenities
Point Place Casino Undergoes $50 Million Expansion in New York
Point Place Casino, a popular destination in New York, is currently undergoing a significant transformation as part of a $50 million expansion. The Vice President for Regional Casinos at Turning Stone Enterprises, Jerry Marrello, has highlighted the contribution of guests and team members in making the casino special.
The expansion, set to be completed on Aug. 1 and Aug. 2, will see the casino's gaming floor doubled in size. Already, 400 new slot machines have been installed, with plans to add an additional 100 slots soon.
One of the key features of the expansion is the updated Fireside Lounge. This intimate space will offer a 360-degree view of a wood-burning fireplace and seating for 60 guests inside the lounge and 70 at the bar. A new mixologist will be available at the bar to cater to the guests' preferences.
Charlotte Hansen is overseeing the renovation of Point Place Casino. In addition to the gaming floor and Fireside Lounge, the expansion also includes updates to the casino's amenities.
While the remodel of the Fireside Lounge suggests enhanced hospitality and leisure experiences, no specific information on new entertainment venues or acts has been provided yet. However, guests will have opportunities for photo sessions and live entertainment by DJ Bill T, DJ Van Slay, and celebrity impersonator Reuben Castillo.
The first phase of the expansion opened on August 1, 2025, with the new slot machines and lounge remodeling. Details on subsequent phases or complete opening dates have not been specified in the sources.
